C.H.F.A. (Camp Hoblitzelle Fine Arts) is a 7-day conservatory-style intensive designed for teens and young adults passionate about Filmmaking, Acting for Camera, or Musical Theatre.

​

Led by experienced instructors and guest mentors—including industry professionals connected to The Chosen—students receive hands-on training, grow in their craft, and discover how to use their artistic gifts with purpose.

At C.H.F.A., students join a Christ-centered creative community where they are encouraged, challenged, and inspired. It’s a place where talent is nurtured, friendships are formed, and confidence is built.

Filmmaking • Acting • Musical Theatre

​Whether you’re crafting stories on screen, developing your on-camera skills, or stepping into the world of live theatre, you’ll find a home here. C.H.F.A. offers a collaborative environment where creativity thrives and students grow through mentorship, practice, and community.

 

Filmmaking

Students experience the full script-to-screen process, including screenwriting, directing, cinematography, sound, editing, and art direction. Participants work as part of a functioning film crew, gaining real-world skills through hands-on projects and collaborative filmmaking.

 

Acting for Camera

Students develop their on-camera acting skills through scene work, audition technique, and performance coaching. Training focuses on camera awareness, truthful acting, and confidence on set. Acting Majors also audition for and appear in films created by the Filmmaking students.

 

Musical Theatre

Students train in acting, singing, choreography, and ensemble work. Throughout the week, they rehearse scenes, monologues, and musical numbers that strengthen their foundation as theatre performers. Each student contributes to curated musical theatre pieces showcased at the end of the week.

 

CHFA Performance & Film Fest

Families are invited to celebrate the week at a special two-part event:

 

Part 1: Musical Theatre Showcase

Featuring ensemble numbers, monologues, and scene work developed throughout the week.

Part 2: Student Film Fest

Highlighting original short films created and produced by the Filmmaking Majors.

This event takes place at the Camp Hoblitzelle Chapel.
