Everyone loves goal-directed activities, but not everyone wants to do the same thing. The variety of activities at Camp Hoblitzelle provide a God-centered environment and activities to enrich spiritual life. Be surrounded by God's beautiful creation, refreshed in your journey with the Lord, and strengthened.
Walk-up Activities
Our softball field is regulation size and has lights for night use. It can also be used for other sports like kickball.
We have a 100-yard soccer or football field great for any sports. We also have a fenced in soccer field that has over head lights for night use.
We have a full 18-hole course that can be fun and challenging.
We have four well taken care of horseshoe pits that are ready for your ringers.
Our covered basketball court is full length and regulation size. It has lights for night use and is free of use during the day.
We have two regulation sized sand volleyball courts that have lights for use at night.
We have two regulation sized tennis courts ready for use. It also has 4 basketball goals and lights for night use.
We have three wooden gaga ball pits at various locations around camp. They are free to use during the day.
Facilitated Activities
Hoblitzelle maintains a year-round stable with more than two dozen horses. Trail rides are available by reservation (fees apply). Minimum of 6 and maximum of 12 per ride.
Come meet our herd of longhorns up close and personal. They are friendly and looking for treats. Max of 25 per ride (Fees Apply).
Come paddle around Lake Whaley and experience the fun of canoeing. Max 30 people per session.
Come and enjoy the experience of fishing from our fully stocked lake. You can bring your own equipment, or we can provide some for you. Catch and release only.
Dive on in to our 12-foot-deep pool and beat that Texas heat. Or take one of our three slides into the pool.
Come challenge yourself at high ropes with a variety of obstacles to conquer.
Enjoy this fun, fast paced, adrenaline pumping activity. Age requirement is 12 years of age or older and minimum 10 players per game.
Come soar through the air and feel the breeze through your hair on our zipline.
Aim true and hit the target at our archery and air rifle ranges.
Enjoy the great outdoors and the Texas night sky next to a fire while roasting s'mores.
